I recently shot the sensational wedding of Carlyn and Brittany at the Barn at Gibbet Hill in Groton, Massachusetts. We started out at the Spring Hill Suites Marriott in Devens to document the preparations. This wedding I brought along the wickedly cool Stacy Doyle to second with me. She rocks it with her intimate PJ style. Once the brides were ready we headed over to Gibbet Hill for the ceremony and reception. Gibbet Hill is a great place to have a wedding. The grounds are superb, the staff is fantastic, and the reception barn is so cool with it’s post and beam construction. The ceremony was had under blue skies with patchy clouds. This was a really great backdrop for an outdoor ceremony which was very touching and ever so powerful. The reception followed shortly after. Here’s some of my favorite images from their wedding day.

Thanks Mark! That’s a bit of Photoshop beauty but, only to get the coloring the way I liked. I wanted to get a shot like this bad. Especially with two brides. Not to mention that Brittany and Carlyn are really in love. It’s so easy to capture it and create great images when you have love.

Thanks Anna! Gibbet Hill is such a great place to shoot a wedding. It seems to get a bit easier each wedding but, the 5d mk2 is makin life great with low light venues.

So beautiful a wedding! I did a double-take when I saw the first interior shot of the reception hall…it looks exactly like the Cranbury Inn in Cranbury, NJ, where I officiated last summer!
I keep coming back to these photos over and over. This is amazing work, and a really stunning wedding.
