Goodbye Lawrence, You’ll be missed!

My wife’s father Lawrence Ip passed on Wednesday the 26th. He made it to Christmas. Spent time with his family and enjoyed the holidays. Lawrence had succumbed to the perils of smoking and throat cancer. He fought the cancer for years but, it proved to much for the body. I heard many stories of him from my wife. He certainly has lead a life full of family, happiness, and drive. My last memory of him was from a month ago when we visited him. He insisted on making my wife and I super. Her favorite ketchup shrimp. Goodbye Lawrence, You’ll be missed!

The Very Alt F Tour is Coming - August 2008!

After a few days of skiing with the family on our 5th annual ski trip, I had a great surprise. I found out that John Michael Cooper aka Alt F (Alternative F*cking Photography) was planning on making a stop in Natick, Massachusetts. That’s one sweet Christmas present! John and his very lovely wife Dalisa will be making their way across the US via RV in an unprecedented multi stop seminar starting in July and wrapping up in late August. I’m filled with excitement as the details unfold and look forward to hosting a great seminar by the always charismatic, super stochastic John Michael Cooper. Another DVD Done!

Tonight I finished another DVD for an engagement shoot that I shot. I’m printing out the DVD as I type this and the cover will be done in a few minutes. This DVD of high resolution images is for Holly and Josh. Their wedding will be a great break in the winter for a really exciting wedding. I can’t wait for Feburary and to have my birthday while we’re away. I really can’t remember the last time that I was enjoying sunny warm weather on my birthday but, I can tell ya that I’ll never forget the Blizzard of 78 bday party. Brrrr…..

The Last Wedding of the Year - Done!

Today I wrapped up editing, converting, and burning their high resolution images to DVDs. The DVDs were printed on the new DYMO Discpainter that I recently purchased. This allows me to print color images on the DVDs. The DVDs are put into a double DVD case with a custom designed cover insert. The cover inserts have evolved from two images inserted into the sleeve to sweet looking DVD insert that is designed to resemble a DVD movie insert. Here’s how they look.
