Grand Hyatt Hotel - Tampa, Florida

This weekend my wife and I traveled down to Tampa to visit family. On our first night we stayed at the hotel where the DWF Convention will take place in January of 2008. This will be the first year that the convention will not be in Las Vegas but, I’m sure we’ll learn plenty and enjoy it as well. I’ve attended the DWF convention for 3 years. This will be it’s 4th year and it’s amazing how much change has occurred. My first convention was the weekend before I shot my first solo wedding. I was all nerves but, confident that the wedding would turn out well. Three years and three conventions later I feel completely changed. It’s been a learning experience to say the least photography is both challenging yet, extremely enjoyable. I really believe that I’ve found my calling. Photography has really opened me up to people, diversity, dealing with stress, and managing time. All in a positive note. I’ve also meet some truly awe inspiring people who’s images shake me to the core. I look forward to the convention and to the many great opportunities that it’s provided.

Surprisingly, I only brought my point and shoot camera and didn’t shoot thousands of images but, I really enjoy this image. The curves…emm the curves…

Royal Caribbean Wedding - Key West, Cozumel, Playa Del Carmen, and Belize

If you read some a few posts below you’ll notice that I’ve booked my first destination wedding. I’m pretty excited! Holly and Josh will be getting married on February 18th in Key West. The Royal Caribbean cruise will be 6 nights and we’ll make stops in Key West, Cozumel, Playa Del Carmen, and Belize. I’m also very psyched to have my good friend and fellow photographer Mark Gardner second shooting with me. We’re going to make some truly amazing images from this wedding. Mark and I had a sweet chopper shoot earlier this year in Las Vegas. It was truly exciting and memorable.

I cruised on Royal Caribbean for my honeymoon on The Explorer of the Seas. I was very impressed with the amenities, size, and presentation of the ship. We did an eastern Caribbean cruise and had a wonderful time. Needless to say that Royal Caribbean really knows how to create a unique and fun experience.

Elvis is in the house! - Shay and Rachell’s Costume Party

Recently I attended a custom party. I had to be Elvis… Here’s my best Elvis impression. Luckily I found Marilyn… she was smokin! Unfortunately, I succumbed to my bad habits by the end of the night.

Roger Williams Park - Cranston, RI

Today I had an engagement session with Holly and Josh at Roger Williams Park in Cranston, RI. It was a bit cold but, not to bad. We started off at the Carousel Village and moved to several locations around the park. The engagement brought back many memories of my childhood. I grew up in RI and spent many days at the park boating, fishing, seeing fireworks, and exploring. Ahh.. the memories… Back to Holly and Josh. I really must commend the two of them. They came out not quite as dressed as I was. It was sunny but, mostly chilly. They really made every effort to stay warm and happy but, after a few hours… they were ca ca- cold! This will be a far cry from their wedding day on the Royal Caribbean Cruise. I’m psyched!
