Soldier Systems - Natick, MA

I had the privilege to capture the Army retirement party for a great neighbor of ours. There were several presentations of accommodations, awards, and speeches. The ceremony wrapped up with the presentation of the US flag. We then moved in for some food and a great little roast. Our military personnel are truly dedicated people; they deserve every bit of support and then more. Congratulations Carlos!!!

Quincy Neighborhood Club - Quincy, MA

Today was the wedding of Erin and Marc at the Quincy Neighborhood Club in Quincy, MA. We had a nice blustery new england day to celebrate their wedding. I started off capturing her pre-ceremony activities. You will see below some pictures that I applied my artistic vision to. As we were walking out of the hotel to the limos we came upon the stairway. We shot a few frames and I moved up the stairs to get an overhead shot of the exit. For me it was the start of an image that I really enjoy. We traveled to Sunset Lake in Braintree for the formal shots. Wow, was it windy and c’cold. The lake was beautiful and the trees looked great with their colors. We managed to get through the pictures and headed off to the ceremony. The ceremony took place at the QNC followed by the reception. I had a great time and I got to play with my new photography toy… a Ring Light!

More pictures are here.

I shot this image as the bridal party was leaving the hotel. I saw this area prior to arriving at the brides room and said….emm…yeah.. (slowly..think…slowly). The image didn’t come exactly as I like initially but, that’s where the digital age can really make life different. I use Photoshop to edit my images. I’ve used it for over a decade but, there’s always new methods, features, and controls that are learned all the time. One of the latest interest has been making b&w images that have heavy shadows. What’s amazed me is the capability to capture images in the RAW format and make major changes to file with great control with no file degradation. The image below was manipulated not only in Photoshop’s ACR (Adobe Raw Converter) but, was then transformed in PS to alter many aspects of the image. It’s time consuming, fun, and part of what makes photography a deep love for me.

Fall in NE - Many Places, MA

Today was a beautiful day and called for a ride on my bike. Emm, so nice but, I had to shoot. Ride shoot, ride shoot, and ride some more. Five hours later I made it home. Here’s some of my favorites from the day. Drop me a line if you’d like a print.

Here’s another example of a little PS fun. a good image to start with but, oh the possibilities!

But, this is a bit sweetah! May be a bit over the top but.. I like it.
