Wow, what a great day! Today was the wedding of the Julia and Stephen, two of the most exceptional people that I had the privilage to work with.

I attended a two day seminar for my day job on 9/11 and 9/12. The seminar is called Leadership is Everyone’s Business.  The first day was half classroom based and the second half was outdoor activities. One of the activities some of us were blindfolded and were led through the woods without verbal communication negotiating obstacles. We then moved to elements in the trees, such as walking across beams and wires attached to trees from 15 feet to 30. I ended up doing the easiest element, it was fun but, I felt compelled to shot pics of everyone enjoying the challenge. The idea was to trust in your group to provide safety with the ropes and support accomplishing the task. The second day looked at behaviors and ideals that foster leadership. We had many team building exercises that were very enjoyable. I really enjoyed the experience and truly feel blessed to work for such a caring company.Â

As this being the 5th anniversary of the attacks on 9/11 I fell compelled to go to NY and capture the day. Unfortunately, I’m committed to attending a team building seminar on 9/11 and 12th. I’m very bummed. I’m pondering driving out to NY to catch some pictures of the ligts that are being lit from the sunset of 9/11 to the dawn of 9/12. I have a great desire to capture images from this anniversary. I really can’t explain all the reasons but, I’m trying to find the will to travel to NYC tomorrow and capture some images.
Also, I’m posting a link to a slideshow that I’ve saved from the days after 9/11. This came from a religous site that I found. It’s a slideshow with images from 9/11 and verses to accompany the emotion. It’s been very moving for me and I feel that I must share it.
Please find it in your heart today to remember those who’ve passed and offer support to those whom still suffer.
Today I assisted Allen Gunn from Georgia at the wedding of Tracy and Anthony. The wedding started out at Saint Irene’s in Carlisle. The church was modern with great lighting. We headed over to the Minuteman Club on Hanscom AFB for the reception. Tracy and Anthony hired a band and a dj that really made the night enjoyable. Assisting is fun, having the opportunity to think out of the box and try new shooting methods really stirs my creativity. Allen and I played with off camera lighting during the dancing. The effects were spectacular. I look forward to next time!
