With 36,000 athletes and over a million people cheering them on, this years 2014 Boston Marathon was simply stunning. A perfect representation of human spirit. Congratulations to the survivors who completed the race, the families who made their way back to Boylston Street to cheer on the athletes, and the people who their spirit fly in the face of loss.
I woke up early, headed to Dunks for some eats, and made my way down 135 to document the joy. The morning was sunny, warm, and cheery. People were smiling, chatting, and energized with the upcoming race. Once the race started the wheelchairs and handcycles made their way through town. The Elite women followed, the Elite men, and finally the masses of athletes. Here’s my takeaway from the day.
